In the 3rd minute Nick Heesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Sørensen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the game, Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomas Sørensen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Nick Heesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 7 minutes into the match, FC Grivata's goal looked a bit too open when Nick Heesen came free, but Thomas Sørensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nick Heesen struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Thomas Sørensen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ágætis Byrjun. In the 11th minute, Nick Heesen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomas Sørensen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 16 minutes FC Grivata's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ladislao Cordarius who took care of the corner kick. In the 17th minute Tzvetoslav Serdev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hagberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Georg Hagberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eero Grönholm. 21 minutes into the match, FC Grivata's goal looked a bit too open when Gert van den Bergh came free, but Thomas Sørensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Sørensen didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Nick Heesen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Sørensen having to make a save. Thomas Sørensen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lyuben Dimiev was the one to do the kick off. Nick Heesen scored 0-5 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Sørensen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57thth minute of the game Nick Heesen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Grivata's Thomas Sørensen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thomas Sørensen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nick Heesen went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Georg Hagberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lyuben Dimiev in the 61st minute of play. Nick Heesen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Thomas Sørensen made a huge save. Ágætis Byrjun were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after FC Grivata's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ladislao Cordarius took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Vitaliy Vorobey got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thomas Sørensen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 65th minute of the match Ágætis Byrjun got a corner. FC Grivata's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ladislao Cordarius ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nick Heesen had several of the FC Grivata's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Thomas Sørensen as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Alejandro dos Santos replaced Gert van den Bergh. A collision led to FC Grivata getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Patryk Janiczek hit a great ball. FC Grivata's Thomas Sørensen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Grivata from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arhangel Vergov during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nick Heesen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Sørensen having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, FC Grivata's goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nick Heesen. After 90 played minutes FC Grivata got a freekick which was hit by Eero Grönholm. Thomas Sørensen was a little too slow when Nick Heesen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 0-9. Thomas Sørensen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nick Heesen went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
