To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, Cascadia United's goal looked a bit too open when Lyuben Dimiev came free, but Leonel Rocco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Grivata's Kristian Brolin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leonel Rocco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Yngve Johnstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Rocco having to interfere. FC Grivata's Thomas Sørensen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save FC Grivata from getting a goal against them. When FC Grivata's Eero Grönholm in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lyuben Dimiev in the 37th minute of play forced Cascadia United's goalkeeper Leonel Rocco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Cascadia United defense, Lyuben Dimiev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonel Rocco. The Cascadia United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonel Rocco should have stopped the shot. Cascadia United's Leonel Rocco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arhangel Vergov in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute Antonio Dino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Rocco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Patryk Janiczek in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cascadia United's Tamás Lovas. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lyuben Dimiev to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Grivata's goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 54 minutes of play, Cascadia United's Miguel Ángel Benito made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Sørensen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cascadia United's Leonel Rocco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Cascadia United from getting a goal against them. 59 minutes into the match, Miguel Ángel Benito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Sørensen. FC Grivata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Ángel Benito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 67 minutes into the match, Cascadia United's goalkeeper Leonel Rocco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arhangel Vergov. In the 68th minute, Wang Di Yi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute, Miguel Ángel Benito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cascadia United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Cascadia United's zone, Lyuben Dimiev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Rocco came out of the goal and Lyuben Dimiev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Leopold Greve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 91 minutes, Miguel Ángel Benito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cascadia United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Ángel Benito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Tamás Lovas put in a rough tackle. Antonio Dino was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Cascadia United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
