In the 16th minute Cesar Romildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lastur Murcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goal looked a bit too open when Berkay Yetiş came free, but Kleopas Plouffe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lastur Murcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Best, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Placido Llanos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lastur Murcia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gaizkine Babia hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Lastur Murcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Best, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Elequemedo in the 30th minute of play forced Girona FC's goalkeeper Lastur Murcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lastur Murcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Aznar in the 33rd minute of the match. Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Kleopas Plouffe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Mar de Ajó from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Gdaniec in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kleopas Plouffe saved Defensores de Mar de Ajó from getting behind. In the 48th minute, Roman Gdaniec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when David Palau made the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Lustosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Kleopas Plouffe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kleopas Plouffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Palau in the 61st minute of play. Girona FC's Lastur Murcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Girona FC from getting a goal against them. Lastur Murcia made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Cesar Romildo sent off a good shot on target. Cesar Romildo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Lastur Murcia made a huge save. Girona FC's Lastur Murcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Llanos in the 65th minute of play. Girona FC's José Gonçalves managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 崔昂桦 in the 70 minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Alfonso De Pedro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kleopas Plouffe was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
