An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang Yuan in the 19th minute of play forced La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Jiang Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Sánchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jiang Yuan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruben Sánchez was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Jiang Yuan ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, La Candela FC's Ruben Sánchez got control of the ball when Jiang Yuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jiang Yuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Jiang Yuan came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Inmortales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jiang Yuan couldn't finish the play. Inmortales FC made a substitution. Jeffrey Cortez replaced Jiang Yuan. In the 79th minute, Robertas Poškus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Inmortales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Palermo came free, but Cyprian Tipinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Inmortales FC's Andrew Reilly got a free kick in the 95th minute. Sebastián Battaglia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cyprian Tipinski. Inmortales FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
