Jair Bostan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FC Brink's Jair Bostan to fire away a dangerous shot which Guto Jacinto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luciano Cuenca took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pompiliu Zmărăndescu. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Gheorghe Herea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guto Jacinto having to interfere. Håkan Ivarsson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Kaj Låsberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Pompiliu Zmărăndescu made a huge save. Kaj Låsberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pompiliu Zmărăndescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Călin Macrea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Brink's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Cherries the free kick. In the 39th match minute, FC Brink was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Călin Macrea to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to AFC Cherries getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Godfredo Barroso hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Judas Priest during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Judas Priest hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Luciano Cuenca notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of FC Brink's Pompiliu Zmărăndescu. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gheorghe Herea made the kick off in the second half. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Cuenca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Godfredo Barroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to AFC Cherries getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Godfredo Barroso hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gheorghe Herea got free with Guto Jacinto in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Brink's Pompiliu Zmărăndescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Cuenca in the 73rd minute of play. Guto Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jair Bostan in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AFC Cherries's Christian Backman got a free kick in the 79th minute. AFC Cherries's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luciano Cuenca in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Barroso in the 90th minute of play forced FC Brink's goalkeeper Pompiliu Zmărăndescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of AFC Cherries booed when FC Brink was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Voinea didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC Brink getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jair Bostan hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Luciano Cuenca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Zmărăndescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFC Cherries's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
