Sverker Lundqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Maule having to interfere. Mörknäs Electric Vikings's Gunnar Lidberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Ekeberg in the 11th minute of play. Godofredo Maule showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sverker Lundqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Domingues in the 20th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucumán's goalkeeper Godofredo Maule to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Domingues in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godofredo Maule saved San Martin de Tucumán from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Cesar Domingues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godofredo Maule. San Martin de Tucumán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesar Domingues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 32nd minute Niklas Ekeberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Lidberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godofredo Maule showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Domingues in the 37th minute of the match. Cesar Domingues might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godofredo Maule. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesar Domingues ran back to his position shaking his head. San Martin de Tucumán's Godofredo Maule played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Domingues in the 40th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the game, Roald Carlos landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Hector Pirro's late challenge caught a Mörknäs Electric Vikings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Pirro helped the player get up and apologised. Hector Pirro kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The San Martin de Tucumán players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mörknäs Electric Vikings were winning 0-1.

When Hector Pirro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucumán's Hector Pirro got a free kick in the 59th minute. Cesar Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The corner led to Mörknäs Electric Vikings's Fredrik Ryberg getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Cesar Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mörknäs Electric Vikings's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesar Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
