Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Montenegro in the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Nueva Chicago getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Rios Marin hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Edgar Trojanowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Montenegro in the 42nd minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Montenegro came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Segundo Abecia made the kick off in the second half. Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Nazaria in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's goalkeeper Efraín Zercalde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's Efraín Zercalde got control of the ball when Joga Leve tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonard Kalemba might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Cañizares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Kalemba ran back to his position shaking his head. Nueva Chicago's Jun Misugi was substituted for Joga Leve. Patrik Konsel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Efraín Zercalde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Andrei Agulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efraín Zercalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's Efraín Zercalde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Konsel in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's Edgar Trojanowski got a free kick in the 71st minute. Efraín Zercalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Konsel in the 73rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrei Agulescu in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Efraín Zercalde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Nueva Chicago's Efraín Zercalde threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patrik Konsel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Abecia in the 80th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arlo Abril was slow to take the kick. During this time Nueva Chicago's players had a chance to rest. Efraín Zercalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Konsel, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 95 minutes LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arlo Abril who took care of the corner kick. Nueva Chicago's Arlo Abril was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Efraín Zercalde in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. LIRA ELBLĄG SSA were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Nueva Chicago to leave the ground with a draw.
