Kevin Carreira was slow to take the kick. During this time AEK S.C's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Green Hell F.C.'s goalie and right to João Francisco de Andrade. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Green Hell F.C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Jelte Bleiswijk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dimitris Keratzoglou having to make a save. Green Hell F.C.'s Dimitris Keratzoglou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Green Hell F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute Jelte Bleiswijk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Keratzoglou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AEK S.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Green Hell F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
