In the 17th match minute, Atlético Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Caldas to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Atlético Municipal's Andoni Viguri got a free kick in the 17th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Hector Hugo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chuan Cintron narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goalkeeper Aurel Crivoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andoni Viguri. 29 minutes into the match, Atlético Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Hugo came free, but Chuan Cintron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Atlético Municipal defense, Hector Hugo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chuan Cintron. The Atlético Municipal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chuan Cintron should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute, Aristides Caldas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Hugo in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Aristides Caldas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Guld Run quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 43rd minute Hector Hugo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chuan Cintron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurel Crivoi made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Oscar De León sent off a good shot on target. Aurel Crivoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar De León, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Guld Run, in the 55th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK. Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Hugo in the 58th minute of play. Radomil Michnik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Chuan Cintron made a huge save. In the 69th minute of the match Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK got a corner. Atlético Municipal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marius Neset ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's corner Radomil Michnik fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Chuan Cintron quite easily take care of the ball. Chuan Cintron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Hugo, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The throw-in from Ignazio Corrales in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atlético Municipal's Jarkko Tuovinen. Aurel Crivoi came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Municipal's Willie Colon. But to his dismay, Willie Colon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. With a little luck, Atlético Municipal's Chuan Cintron got control of the ball when Radomil Michnik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chuan Cintron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Hermansson in the 86th minute of the match. Aurel Crivoi came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Municipal's Willie Colon. But to his dismay, Willie Colon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Atlético Municipal's Frank Dusett was substituted for Willie Colon. Guld Run could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Chuan Cintron made a huge save. Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Paul Hermansson came free and shot a quick shot against goal 93 minutes in the game, fortunately Chuan Cintron had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Chuan Cintron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Hermansson in the 97th minute. When Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Paul Hermansson in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
