An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo de Lara in the 11th minute of play forced Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amadeo Rufo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcinho Mineiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Amadeo Rufo made a huge save. In the 15th minute José Paulo de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rufo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29thth minute of the game Guilherme Peres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Florestal Futebol Clube's Bruno Renan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Florestal Futebol Clube's Santiago Cidro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeo Rufo. Amadeo Rufo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 33 minutes into the match, José Paulo de Lara notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Amadeo Rufo. Amadeo Rufo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute Santiago Cidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rufo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeo Rufo made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Marcinho Mineiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 48th match minute, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Luz to maneuver through the defense. Amadeo Rufo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo de Lara in the 49th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcinho Mineiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcelinho Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Florestal Futebol Clube's Matías Camargo was substituted for Marcinho Mineiro. Matías Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Rufo having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Matías Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rufo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Renan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Peres in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Cidro came free, but Amadeo Rufo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo Rufo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute Florestal Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Sherif Cannavaro went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Santiago Cidro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Florestal Futebol Clube had played much better football throughout.
