In the 2nd match minute, Monkey D.Luffy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Montaldi to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Bo Eriksson made a precise shot to the right of Camillo Ruggieri. Monkey D.Luffy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Monkey D.Luffy's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Boumans came free, but Camillo Ruggieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camillo Ruggieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Boumans, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Edmondo Scarpa fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monkey D.Luffy's protests and gave Edmondo Scarpa a yellow card for diving instead. Edmondo Scarpa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Monkey D.Luffy's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Almstedt came free, but Camillo Ruggieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Boumans in the 20th minute of play forced Monkey D.Luffy's goalkeeper Camillo Ruggieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bo Eriksson in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camillo Ruggieri saved Monkey D.Luffy from getting behind. After some careless play in the Monkey D.Luffy defense, Harry Boumans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camillo Ruggieri. The Monkey D.Luffy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camillo Ruggieri should have stopped the shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arrigo Cino was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Runa United's Bo Eriksson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Bo Eriksson struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Camillo Ruggieri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Runa United. Camillo Ruggieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Almstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Harry Boumans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camillo Ruggieri was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. The supporters of Runa United booed when Monkey D.Luffy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Pala didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Runa United's goal looked a bit too open when Arrigo Cino came free, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Onur Candar put in a rough tackle. A hard shot 74 in the game by Harry Boumans from a close distance when the talented Camillo Ruggieri managed to make a qualified save. Monkey D.Luffy's players were relieved. Joel Andreasson hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Camillo Ruggieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Eriksson in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Runa United were awarded a corner. Matthias Lundin went to the cornerflag to take it. Runa United's Bogdan Pânzaru was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Camillo Ruggieri in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 87th play minute Ted Almstedt came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Camillo Ruggieri. 0-12. Alberto Iacobucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Runa United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
