Fabrício Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores de Belén. Jailson da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Defensores de Belén's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Barros came free, but Dante Erramu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Eusébio Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Erramu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 27thth minute of the game Tao Ke Qiang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter de Munique's Fabrício Simões was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dante Erramu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Inter de Munique's Fabrício Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tao Ke Qiang in the 40th minute of play. The throw-in from Jaime Trindade in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Defensores de Belén's Baldomiro Anaya. In the 45th minute Tao Ke Qiang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nilmar Eger was the one to do the kick off. Dante Erramu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renaud Verdonckt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Baldomiro Anaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tao Ke Qiang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manoel Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tao Ke Qiang got free with Fabrício Simões in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Defensores de Belén's Dante Erramu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Barros in the 64th minute of play. Fabrício Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tochi Mur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 minutes Inter de Munique's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaston Frantzes who took care of the corner kick. Gaston Frantzes made a great header on Defensores de Belén's corner, it was just that Inter de Munique's Fabrício Simões managed to reach the ball for a save. Fabrício Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tao Ke Qiang in the 70th minute of play. Eusébio Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrício Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute, Renaud Verdonckt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Tao Ke Qiang dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabrício Simões, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andoni Donadoni in the 94th minute of play forced Defensores de Belén's goalkeeper Dante Erramu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
