The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Chruszczewka SSA's goalkeeper Alfred Rojewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eilert Nordlie. Laniakea's Ali Adjani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariusz Rode in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eilert Nordlie in the 26th minute of play forced Chruszczewka SSA's goalkeeper Alfred Rojewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Lars Kvaal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfred Rojewski. The goal made the score 2-0. Ludwig Juhlin's late challenge caught a Laniakea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lars Kvaal had several of the Chruszczewka SSA's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 45 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Alfred Rojewski as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariusz Rode to make the kick off. Frode Nyheim hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 53 minutes, Lars Kvaal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laniakea and the Chruszczewka SSA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chruszczewka SSA's Mariusz Rode got a free kick in the 89th minute. Alfred Rojewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eilert Nordlie, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
