Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Mirande in the 6th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Johnathan Bowden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabby Arias. Ilulea FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Johnathan Bowden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some careless play in the Ilulea FC defense, Johnathan Bowden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabby Arias. The Ilulea FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabby Arias should have stopped the shot. Gabby Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abid Bubalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute of the match Selebi-Phikwe got a corner. Ilulea FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abid Bubalo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 25 minutes of play, Ilulea FC's 史铮坤 made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christof Deroek was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek got control of the ball when Eleuterio Mirande tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute Johnathan Bowden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabby Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 史铮坤 in the 34th minute of play. If Johnathan Bowden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If 史铮坤 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Martin Gorbea in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Selebi-Phikwe's Rafik Oliwa. Johnathan Bowden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabby Arias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johnathan Bowden was the one to do the kick off. If Johnathan Bowden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Golembiewski in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Selebi-Phikwe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Van Buyten to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when 史铮坤 came free, but Christof Deroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Ilulea FC's goalkeeper Gabby Arias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnathan Bowden. Ilulea FC's Gabby Arias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Ilulea FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by 史铮坤 in the 71st minute of play forced Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Christof Deroek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 minutes of play, Ilulea FC's 史铮坤 made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christof Deroek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 史铮坤 in the 86th minute of play. Victor Nelson hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eleuterio Mirande in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christof Deroek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gabby Arias made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Johnathan Bowden sent off a good shot on target. Ilulea FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
