Donato Bordon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Ekström, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. AIF's Jarl Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Hvidegaard in the 23rd minute of play. Donato Bordon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Sandström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AIF were furious when Bianco Tacco was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in AIF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! Zakarias Brejnrod placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 77th minute, Sven-Edvin Mogren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfred Sandström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Bordon having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Månsson got free with Donato Bordon in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Esbjerg fB's Donato Bordon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Månsson in the 90th minute of play. After 91 minutes, Alfred Sandström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AIF and the Esbjerg fB players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfred Sandström kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd match minute, AIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Forsberg to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Emanuel Månsson took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Donato Bordon to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded AIF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Esbjerg fB.
