The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yannik Mattheis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Mero in the 4th minute. Simon Hori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Bannenbusch in the 10th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Showtime FC's Dylan Sarmiento dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 19th minute, José Puch reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yannik Mattheis. The goal made the score 2-0. Simon Hori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Bannenbusch, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Simon Bannenbusch took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon Hori. Simon Hori dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celestino Richie during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Showtime FC's Celestino Richie got a free kick in the 29th minute. Simon Hori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Bannenbusch in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Showtime FC's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Bannenbusch came free, but Simon Hori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Narciso Mero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Showtime FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 37th minute Omar Dominic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yannik Mattheis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Showtime FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Todor. In the 40th minute Fabrizio Nowak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Hori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Bannenbusch scored 3-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simon Hori, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simon Bannenbusch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Simon Hori made a fantastic save in the 50th minute, when Simon Bannenbusch sent off a good shot on target. KFC Uerdingen 05's Yannik Mattheis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dylan Sarmiento in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Showtime FC booed when KFC Uerdingen 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Eberhardt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yannik Mattheis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrizio Nowak in the 78th minute of play forced Showtime FC's goalkeeper Simon Hori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Omar Dominic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yannik Mattheis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yannik Mattheis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Puch in the 81st minute of the match.
