Spectators: 148 (Terracing: 112, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bertil Jansson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Filomeno Montrell fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fabian Felin, passed just outside the right post. Arnoldo Mel got a throw-in 9 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Augusto Cordario. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Burman in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erwin Huygens saved Velez Sarsfield from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 16th minute, Jonathan Burman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jim Nordlund made in the 19th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jonathan Burman immediately put the ball in play. After 22 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Cordario. Jonathan Burman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erwin Huygens having to make a save. Fabian Felin was a little too slow when Augusto Cordario got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Jonathan Burman sped through Velez Sarsfield's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erwin Huygens.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Cordario to make the kick off. Velez Sarsfield's Javier Pinola quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jim Nordlund, made in the 51st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Cordario in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Felin saved Skyborn FC from getting behind. In the 59th minute of the match, Jonathan Burman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Erwin Huygens was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Augusto Cordario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Fabian Felin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Jakob Wassenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnoldo Mel, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Jonathan Burman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Burman. Augusto Cordario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Felin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the Skyborn FC defense, Augusto Cordario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Felin. The Skyborn FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Felin should have stopped the shot. Velez Sarsfield's Ago Tramp was substituted for Filomeno Montrell. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Yiyo Bernal replaced Marcos Pacifico. Augusto Cordario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Felin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Erwin Huygens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Burman in the 86th minute. Erwin Huygens made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Jonathan Burman sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Skyborn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Vassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Skyborn FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Velez Sarsfield.
