If Cheng Qian Qiang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Huaröd's goalkeeper Tord Forsberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomás Barral. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stefan Strömbom made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomás Barral in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tord Forsberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelo Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joar Valrot, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Rogelio Funes Mori came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Rejunte de perros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Funes Mori couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Funes Mori in the 73rd minute of play forced Huaröd's goalkeeper Tord Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Rogelio Funes Mori's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tord Forsberg was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Huaröd's Tord Forsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Funes Mori in the 86th minute of play. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
