Mänsur Rzayev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jedrzej Walec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şamaxı Bankirlər's Akhilendra Murthy quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tärik Qäribov, made in the 24th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Alfredo Rulli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov. SazobaSpor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Rulli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Rulli in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Färid Abdulkärimov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Eevert Hiltunen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The SazobaSpor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Şamaxı Bankirlər were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Rulli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Rulli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Rulli, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind SazobaSpor's goalkeeper Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 61 minutes, Alfredo Rulli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Şamaxı Bankirlər's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Rulli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Senio Opazo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mänsur Rzayev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. If Alfredo Rulli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, SazobaSpor's Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov got control of the ball when Alfredo Rulli tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Alfredo Rulli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuşirävan Cäbrayilov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Druțu Cristian hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Eevert Hiltunen, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Şamaxı Bankirlər's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
