Ekskluzywni menele's Jean Dantas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aloísio Toscano, made in the 12th minute of the game. If Wang Hong Le had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the match, Barões F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wang Hong Le came free, but Júlio Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Paulo Queirós got free with Zbigniew Brudzisz in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Aloísio Toscano in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ekskluzywni menele's Tytus Jajesniak. When Ekskluzywni menele's Wang Hong Le in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barões F. C.'s goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cris Batistuta in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zbigniew Brudzisz saved Ekskluzywni menele from getting behind. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Cris Batistuta sped through Ekskluzywni menele's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zbigniew Brudzisz. If Wang Hong Le had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zbigniew Brudzisz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nixon Richard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wang Hong Le received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Júlio Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44thth minute of the game Donato Paraibano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ekskluzywni menele's Zbigniew Brudzisz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zbigniew Brudzisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nixon Richard in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ekskluzywni menele's zone, Luiz Fábio Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbigniew Brudzisz came out of the goal and Luiz Fábio Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Paraibano in the 55th minute of play forced Ekskluzywni menele's goalkeeper Zbigniew Brudzisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ekskluzywni menele's attentive Tytus Jajesniak managed to snatch the ball when Marquinhos Porto made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, Barões F. Júlio Baiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After some careless play in the Barões F. C. defense, Zenon Ogrodowicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Baiano. The Barões F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Baiano should have stopped the shot. Barões F. C.'s Luisito Pistolelis was substituted for Luiz Fábio Souto. 80 minutes into the match, Ekskluzywni menele's goal looked a bit too open when Nixon Richard came free, but Zbigniew Brudzisz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Zenon Ogrodowicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Baiano. Barões F. C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zenon Ogrodowicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5.
