With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gelu Lepuș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gelu Lepuș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Purcărete in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cadu Team's Mário Secco got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The A4p FC Gad fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when A4p FC Gad's King Scorpio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gelu Lepuș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The Cadu Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gelu Lepuș should have stopped the shot. King Scorpio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gelu Lepuș having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Gelu Lepuș successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gelu Lepuș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from King Scorpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. King Scorpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cadu Team were furious when Zé Carlos Gerber was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A4p FC Gad played a much better game than Cadu Team and deserved their victory. The Cadu Team players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
