In the 14th minute Brion Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Brudzisz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermenegildo Rebelo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 19 played minutes Bacardi Black Bats got a freekick which was hit by Abílio Severiano. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olgun Oktay got free with Artur Brudzisz in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz got control of the ball when Brion Murphy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brion Murphy got in the 23rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Artur Brudzisz handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Gordon Horgan came out of the goal and Horaţiu Bacalbașa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th match minute, Bacardi Black Bats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michal Parzysz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Bacardi Black Bats getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Quentin Platt hit a great ball. Artur Brudzisz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tahsin Atacan in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind COPERNICUS TORUŃ's goalkeeper Gordon Horgan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by COPERNICUS TORUŃ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hermenegildo Rebelo was slow to take the kick. During this time Bacardi Black Bats's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Bacardi Black Bats's Hermenegildo Rebelo to fire away a dangerous shot which Gordon Horgan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olgun Oktay got free with Artur Brudzisz in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tahsin Atacan to make the kick off. Artur Brudzisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradner McCready in the 51st minute of play. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gordon Horgan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hermenegildo Rebelo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gordon Horgan came out and tried to block the shot, but Hermenegildo Rebelo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 64th minute. In the 71st minute Horaţiu Bacalbașa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gordon Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tahsin Atacan in the 73rd minute of play forced Bacardi Black Bats's goalkeeper Artur Brudzisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bacardi Black Bats made a substitution. Alexandre Mafra replaced Quentin Platt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wojciech Grunwalski in the 88th minute of play forced COPERNICUS TORUŃ's goalkeeper Gordon Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. COPERNICUS TORUŃ's Gordon Horgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 89th minute of play. Gordon Horgan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The COPERNICUS TORUŃ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bacardi Black Bats's performance. The match ended with a win for Bacardi Black Bats.
