Juan Mondaca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hudson Moreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 30th minute Ferreirinha Heidemann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ksawery Witkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Banda in the 31st minute of play forced S.e Cadilli's goalkeeper Hudson Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magallanes's Ksawery Witkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Magallanes from getting a goal against them. The S.e Cadilli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hudson Moreira should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Bittor Lemon made in the 52nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Seçkin Gezer however managed to control. Magallanes's Ksawery Witkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferreirinha Heidemann in the 56th minute of play. Alejandro Campbell kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Ksawery Witkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Harasimowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
