Venancio Oto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yetkin Emek in the 21st minute of the match. Tsinamdzghvrishvili Brzęczyszczykiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Eleazar in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute Jacinto Eleazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tsinamdzghvrishvili Brzęczyszczykiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Jacinto Eleazar notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sportivo Fernet Branca's Tsinamdzghvrishvili Brzęczyszczykiewicz. Tsinamdzghvrishvili Brzęczyszczykiewicz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto got control of the ball when Yetkin Emek tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Punta Alvear booed when Sportivo Fernet Branca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Ramirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Sportivo Fernet Branca's Tsinamdzghvrishvili Brzęczyszczykiewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Fernet Branca from getting a goal against them. Venancio Oto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yetkin Emek, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Punta Alvear's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yetkin Emek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Sportivo Fernet Branca made a substitution. Kenney Coveliers replaced Yetkin Emek. Mauro Milano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88th minute Kenney Coveliers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Milano in the 90th minute of play forced Punta Alvear's goalkeeper Venancio Oto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Kenney Coveliers made a precise shot to the right of Venancio Oto. Punta Alvear's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Kenney Coveliers took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Venancio Oto. Venancio Oto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2.
