The crowd rose to their feet as Marco van Nistelrooij kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedrão Souto. That made the score 2-0 in the 7 minute of play. Jon Hally received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Pedrão Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Marco van Nistelrooij got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pedrão Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Hally, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 played minutes Caricancha got a freekick which was hit by Jon Hally. Marcus Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon Hally fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Souto having to interfere. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético de Crisal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Astor Senio was slow to take the kick. During this time Caricancha's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Caricancha's Wang Jun Wei getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Dede Vital hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco van Nistelrooij stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jon Hally fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Souto having to interfere. Jon Hally scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedrão Souto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Marco van Nistelrooij put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pedrão Souto. Caricancha's Clinton Mata was substituted for Jorge Bermudez. Marco van Nistelrooij charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco van Nistelrooij the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marco van Nistelrooij hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Marco van Nistelrooij's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedrão Souto was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. When Dede Vital fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético de Crisal's protests and gave Dede Vital a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atlético de Crisal getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Caricancha's Jon Hally got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute Marco van Nistelrooij shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Astor Senio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caricancha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Astor Senio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caricancha's Marco van Nistelrooij got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Caricancha were the better team. Caricancha's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
