The supporters of Corazuli booed when Sepsiszentgyörgy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Goma didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sepsiszentgyörgy's Dinu Augustin in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corazuli's goalie prevented a goal. Urbano Reyes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Bosioc in the 17th minute of the match. Urbano Reyes came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Sepsiszentgyörgy's Pavel Bosioc. But to his dismay, Pavel Bosioc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Dinu Augustin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urbano Reyes was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. If Dinu Augustin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sepsiszentgyörgy's Kjell Ennegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Feliu in the 30th minute of play. Amado Feliu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kjell Ennegren came out and tried to block the shot, but Amado Feliu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Pavel Bosioc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Leandro Elizardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th match minute, Sepsiszentgyörgy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcu Bârsan to maneuver through the defense. Ivan Bortzaioriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Ennegren having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinu Augustin to strike the kick off in the second half. Sepsiszentgyörgy's Kjell Ennegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Feliu in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Feliu in the 55th minute of play forced Sepsiszentgyörgy's goalkeeper Kjell Ennegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kjell Ennegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Feliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kjell Ennegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Feliu in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute Ivan Bortzaioriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Ennegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sepsiszentgyörgy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corazuli the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sepsiszentgyörgy's Edvaldo Silveira got a free kick in the 70th minute. Corazuli's Luís Salmeron was substituted for Bosse Houth. Corazuli's Filiberto Cortez was substituted for Gerónimo Saccardi. Sepsiszentgyörgy's Alaa Ciobica was substituted for Edvaldo Silveira.
