When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Fulvio Muzzolon sped through FC Viplala's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Keijo Jaakson. 44 minutes into the match, FC Viplala's goal looked a bit too open when Fulvio Muzzolon came free, but Keijo Jaakson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fulvio Muzzolon was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Viplala's Mikk Lepisk got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Dave Pierucci might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keijo Jaakson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dave Pierucci ran back to his position shaking his head. Dave Pierucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. S.S.C. NAPOLI played a much better game than FC Viplala and deserved their victory. The FC Viplala players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
