Tiago Godoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. São Paulo F.C.'s Yago Leite quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Célio Leite, made in the 10th minute of the game. After 15 played minutes Altamora FC got a freekick which was hit by Higino lago. Dorian Quadros charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorian Quadros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, São Paulo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Quadros to maneuver through the defense. If Célio Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's Célio Leite sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tiago Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Célio Leite's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Tiago Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Leite in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Tiago Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Altamora FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Higino lago in the 32nd minute. Altamora FC's Higino lago was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tiago Godoi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Célio Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Tiago Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to São Paulo F.C. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Murillo Cordeiro hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Célio Leite came free, but Tiago Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Célio Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Godoi having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Célio Leite to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Liher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wanderson Melo. 52 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Célio Leite came free, but Tiago Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Célio Leite in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiago Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 59 minutes of play, Altamora FC's Célio Leite made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiago Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Célio Leite sped through São Paulo F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tiago Godoi. Tiago Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Leite in the 70th minute of play. Altamora FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Higino lago in the 82nd minute. The corner led Altamora FC's Higino lago to fire away a dangerous shot which Tiago Godoi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Leite in the 89th minute of play forced São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Tiago Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Tiago Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. São Paulo F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
