Average Joes's Victoriano Abel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Wei Xi in the 13th minute of play. Tala Bosques del Jaure's attentive Kong Xuan Feng managed to snatch the ball when Nils-Emil Gulliksson made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. Victoriano Abel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cai Wei Xi went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per Rolandsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Victoriano Abel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cai Wei Xi, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Jo Blanchaert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Xove Tijerina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tala Bosques del Jaure's Tino Godos was substituted for Eliézer Prata. Edinson Rodríguez scored 7-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victoriano Abel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was a well-played corner which Kong Xuan Feng managed to volley towards the net. Victoriano Abel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-1. Average Joes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
