Jean Britton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Igor Siekierski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. After 4 minutes Brow Team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Barış Birsoy who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trey Easley got free with Igor Siekierski in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Trey Easley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Trey Easley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Siekierski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jean Britton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Siekierski having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Brow Team's goalkeeper Igor Siekierski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute Mariusz Mroczynski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herb Good saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Tipinski came free, but Herb Good reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a corner. Brow Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Barış Birsoy ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sport Lisboa e Benfica were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Brow Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Barış Birsoy took the corner. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Du Lei Bin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 35th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Igor Siekierski didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Britton in the 53rd minute of play forced Brow Team's goalkeeper Igor Siekierski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Siekierski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Britton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Hankins hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Franciszek Modliszewski came free, but Herb Good reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Czeslaw Tipinski notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good. Herb Good was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Brow Team's Igor Siekierski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Britton in the 70th minute of play. Igor Siekierski went to the wrong direction when Barış Birsoy was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Sport Lisboa e Benfica getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Jean Britton hit a great ball. Igor Siekierski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Britton in the 90th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean Britton in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Siekierski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jean Britton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariusz Mroczynski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Herb Good tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
