After 10 played minutes, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Collin Grimm shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kazimierz Czekaj came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sport Lisboa e Benfica reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jean Britton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Britton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kazimierz Czekaj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, Du Lei Bin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Zalesie Górne's Kazimierz Czekaj. Kazimierz Czekaj was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 25 minutes into the match, Jean Britton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kazimierz Czekaj. FC Zalesie Górne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean Britton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With his leg Herb Good managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when FC Zalesie Górne's Pankracy Birkenhagen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good got control of the ball when Pankracy Birkenhagen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trey Easley hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Herb Good showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kajetan Setara, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Feliks Zdanowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Jean Britton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kazimierz Czekaj was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jean Britton got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Napoleon Fronczak came free, but Herb Good reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Napoleon Fronczak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Herb Good. Napoleon Fronczak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Jean Britton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Kazimierz Czekaj made a huge save. In the 62nd minute of the match, Jean Britton got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kazimierz Czekaj was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jean Britton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kazimierz Czekaj read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Herb Good showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Napoleon Fronczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslaw Wojno in the 73rd minute of play forced Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Herb Good to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Barış Birsoy to fire away a dangerous shot which Kazimierz Czekaj despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jean Britton scored 1-4 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kazimierz Czekaj, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
