After 17 minutes, Mitt Elin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savon Palloseura and the Isótopos V.M. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lasse Saarelainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Savon Palloseura's Lasse Saarelainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Domingues in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Isótopos V.M.'s Crişan Fenomeno got a free kick in the 34th minute. Mitt Elin kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Taribo West cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Lasse Saarelainen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 43 minutes into the match, Savon Palloseura's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Domingues came free, but Lasse Saarelainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lasse Saarelainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Domingues in the 45th minute of the match. Lasse Saarelainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Pedro Domingues could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Lasse Saarelainen made a huge save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Kjetil-André Digernes put in a rough tackle. In the 59th minute Albeiro Usuriaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lasse Saarelainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isótopos V.M.'s Gualterio Mede was substituted for Pedro Domingues. Savon Palloseura's Hafliði Borgþórsson was substituted for Joel Grönvall. In the 63rd minute Isótopos V.M. were awarded a corner. Taribo West went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Isótopos V.M.'s corner Taribo West fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lasse Saarelainen quite easily take care of the ball. Albeiro Usuriaga might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lasse Saarelainen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albeiro Usuriaga ran back to his position shaking his head. Lasse Saarelainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Markus Pakaslahti threw the ball into play from the sideline. Isótopos V.M.'s Crişan Fenomeno quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Savon Palloseura's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Albeiro Usuriaga 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Lasse Saarelainen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albeiro Usuriaga went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Lasse Saarelainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga in the 88th minute of play. Ignacio Di Stasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciriaco Ferrando in the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Albeiro Usuriaga made a precise shot to the right of Lasse Saarelainen. Savon Palloseura's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Lasse Saarelainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga in the 97th minute of play.
