Belgrano's Carolo Fonda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Carolo Fonda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Lundberg in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute Brecht Govaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carolo Fonda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Roldan got free with Chris Draxl in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chris Draxl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Orzaize in the 21st minute. Roland-Nicolas Hertz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Carolo Fonda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SK Fenerbahce Wien's Bastian Tetzloff got a free kick in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Mannie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chris Draxl. SK Fenerbahce Wien's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Mannie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 39th minute, Jairo Orzaize reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chris Draxl. The goal made the score 2-1. Carolo Fonda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brecht Govaerts in the 42nd minute of the match. Erik Lundberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carolo Fonda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brecht Govaerts in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carolo Fonda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Lundberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Erik Lundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carolo Fonda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Roldan hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When Brecht Govaerts came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the SK Fenerbahce Wien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brecht Govaerts couldn't finish the play. Roland-Nicolas Hertz hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Vasyl Gladiy got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carolo Fonda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Chris Draxl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Roldan in the 71st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Crucero Gral. Belgrano got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Roldan. Chris Draxl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Roldan in the 75th minute of play. Brecht Govaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Fonda having to interfere. Carolo Fonda made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Brecht Govaerts sent off a good shot on target. Brecht Govaerts in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carolo Fonda, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Erik Lundberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carolo Fonda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Domingos Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Draxl having to interfere. Carolo Fonda was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Brecht Govaerts capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Brecht Govaerts really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
