In the 15th minute Øyvind Gilje shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Atlético-PR's Pedrinho Hoffmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Augusto Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Sampaio in the 24th minute of play forced Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Pedro Augusto Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Sampaio in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Øyvind Gilje dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oswaldo Paraíba, 1-1. After 32 minutes, Perivaldo Sampaio made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Pedro Augusto Neto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Atlético-PR fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Atlético-PR's Márcio Cruz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 39thth minute of the game Pedrinho Hoffmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Pedro Augusto Neto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oswaldo Paraíba made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Alfredão Massa sent off a good shot on target. Oswaldo Paraíba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Tesone in the 45th minute. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Raymundo in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Atlético-PR were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Perivaldo Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Atlético-PR made a substitution. Hong Jian Fan replaced Pedrinho Hoffmann. Atlético-PR's Cacá Breckenfeld was substituted for Eugênio Azevedo. Perivaldo Sampaio hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The supporters of Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ booed when Atlético-PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 played minutes Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Castelao. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Neto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Atlético-PR's corner Yang Ke Xun fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Augusto Neto quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Yang Ke Xun sped through Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Augusto Neto. Hong Jian Fan scored 1-5 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Augusto Neto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute Øyvind Gilje shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peng Chao Feng during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Atlético-PR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peng Chao Feng to maneuver through the defense. FPRMZ's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Neto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Perivaldo Sampaio. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perivaldo Sampaio got free with Pedro Augusto Neto in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafinha Massa in the 88th minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Oswaldo Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Øyvind Gilje in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Sampaio notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Pedro Augusto Neto. Pedro Augusto Neto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yang Ke Xun lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético-PR fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ. Donato Tesone stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Oswaldo Paraíba. 3-6. The Atlético-PR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlético-PR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
