The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Renato Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandeirinha AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Albirex Niigata FC the free kick. Renato Velloso hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Diego Belém scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Meireles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodoro Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Vijiaratnam in the 9th minute of the match. Per Gross might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodoro Meireles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Per Gross ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Belém in the 11th minute of play forced Bandeirinha AD's goalkeeper Teodoro Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Meireles came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Albirex Niigata FC's Diego Belém. But to his dismay, Diego Belém quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Renato Velloso made in the 16th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Silvinho Oliveira. 18 minutes into the game, Diego Belém cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Teodoro Meireles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amir Pieng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Meireles having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Diego Belém's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Meireles was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Diego Belém ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Meireles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Teodoro Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Belém, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Gabriel da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Bandeirinha AD defense, Diego Belém kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodoro Meireles. The Bandeirinha AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodoro Meireles should have stopped the shot. Ramiro Coutinho's late challenge caught a Albirex Niigata FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramiro Coutinho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Bandeirinha AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. After 42 minutes, Diego Belém made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Bandeirinha AD's Teodoro Meireles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 47 minutes in the game Renato Velloso did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Washington Valadares.

The wind increased when Diego Belém made the kick off in the second half. Renato Velloso got a throw-in 52 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Silvinho Oliveira. Diego Belém scored 0-7 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Meireles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodoro Meireles came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Albirex Niigata FC's Diego Belém. But to his dismay, Diego Belém quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. A hard shot 67 in the game by Diego Belém from a close distance when the talented Teodoro Meireles managed to make a qualified save. Bandeirinha AD's players were relieved. 68 minutes into the match, Diego Belém notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Bandeirinha AD's Teodoro Meireles. Teodoro Meireles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 72 minutes into the match, Diego Belém had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Meireles. Bandeirinha AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Belém was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. After 86 minutes of play, Albirex Niigata FC's Diego Belém made it 0-14 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Meireles was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute, Amir Pieng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Albirex Niigata FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-15. Amir Pieng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Teodoro Meireles made a huge save. Albirex Niigata FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
