An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Giacchetti in the 19th minute of play forced Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goalkeeper Lütfi Kutlubay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zanko Shosev to make the kick off.
