The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Sandell in the 4th minute of play forced UD Fuerteventura's goalkeeper Lajos Révész to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Lajos Révész successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Claris Quiroga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hampus Gallberg having to interfere. Michael Gudmundsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Lajos Révész made a huge save. In the 13th minute of the match, Michael Gudmundsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lajos Révész was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hampus Gallberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claris Quiroga, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Lajos Révész made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Gudmundsson in the 16th minute. With a little luck, UD Fuerteventura's Lajos Révész got control of the ball when Michael Gudmundsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Joe Cole fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mansfield Town FC's protests and gave Joe Cole a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Mansfield Town FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joe Cole to maneuver through the defense. When UD Fuerteventura's Geovani Barral in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michael Gudmundsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Lajos Révész made a huge save. The supporters of Mansfield Town FC booed when UD Fuerteventura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Platon Dorado didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to UD Fuerteventura getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Platon Dorado hit a great ball. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for UD Fuerteventura! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Claris Quiroga made the kick off in the second half. UD Fuerteventura's Lajos Révész played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Gudmundsson in the 57th minute of play. When Mansfield Town FC's Andreas Sandell in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 67th minute, Geovani Barral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hampus Gallberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Platon Dorado in the 68th minute of play. Max Lindqvist hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Mansfield Town FC's Hampus Gallberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Mansfield Town FC from getting a goal against them. UD Fuerteventura's Ismael Munoz was substituted for Basilio Quintero. In the 89th minute, Ismael Munoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91stth minute of the game Maximilian Seger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UD Fuerteventura's Lajos Révész was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Michael Gudmundsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mansfield Town FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 96th minute Michael Gudmundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lajos Révész saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mansfield Town FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
