Aloísio Rodrigues came out of the goal and Adérito Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Warren FC - DMZ's Aloísio Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Eiró in the 35th minute of play. António Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Warren FC - DMZ's Adrianinho Mota tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Celso Eiró left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 45th minute, Alexandre Eanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute Simão Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudemiro Tristão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Hélio Nascimento with Betão da Silveira as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 76th minute Simão Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudemiro Tristão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Warren FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Söderlund to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Eanes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aloísio Rodrigues. Warren FC - DMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 90 played minutes Warren FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Nascimento. GD Almargense's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
