In the 14th minute, one of Grupo Informatico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Grupo Informatico. Gustaw Ludzia walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Elias Barrionuevo made in the 21st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Raul Teofilio however managed to control. Hauk Hareide struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Lisandro Ihintza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carabata Groove. In the 29th minute of the game Toninho Santos made a throw-in which Hauk Hareide played forward. The supporters of Carabata Groove booed when Grupo Informatico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Teofilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hauk Hareide might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lisandro Ihintza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hauk Hareide ran back to his position shaking his head. Lisandro Ihintza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hauk Hareide, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Hauk Hareide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Grupo Informatico's Elias Barrionuevo got a free kick in the 44th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hauk Hareide in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lisandro Ihintza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Carabata Groove booed when Grupo Informatico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Barrionuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carabata Groove made a substitution. Alberto-Federico Acosta replaced Hauk Hareide. Carabata Groove's Eduardo Domeka was substituted for Hermengildo Bazkoare. Carabata Groove's Andreas Möller was substituted for Herbert Pilipiec. After having played for 51 minutes, Gustaw Ludzia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carabata Groove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaw Ludzia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
