The supporters of LIVIUS UNITED MLS booed when Canarinho Atordoado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tuncer İlbaşı didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute of the match Olimpiu Blidaru sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dé Mello skillfully saved the ball. LIVIUS UNITED MLS's Yanick Knecht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Leo in the 9th minute of play. Dé Mello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aristide Păunescu's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, LIVIUS UNITED MLS's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Leo came free, but Yanick Knecht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Peter Mpenza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yanick Knecht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st match minute, LIVIUS UNITED MLS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Doinaș to maneuver through the defense. When Daniel Şimandan came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the LIVIUS UNITED MLS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Şimandan couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olimpiu Blidaru in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Mello saved Canarinho Atordoado from getting behind. Dé Mello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olimpiu Blidaru's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Peter Mpenza lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Yanick Knecht. If Alin Tonegaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Canarinho Atordoado's Peter Mpenza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yanick Knecht. That made the score 2-0 after 42 minutes of play. 46 minutes into the match, Canarinho Atordoado's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Blidaru came free, but Dé Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Leo might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yanick Knecht. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Leo ran back to his position shaking his head.

The wind increased when Luiz Leo made the kick off in the second half. When Canarinho Atordoado's Luiz Leo in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LIVIUS UNITED MLS's goalie prevented a goal. 54 minutes into the match, LIVIUS UNITED MLS's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Mpenza came free, but Yanick Knecht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 55 minutes, Aristide Păunescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LIVIUS UNITED MLS and the Canarinho Atordoado players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aristide Păunescu kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to LIVIUS UNITED MLS getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Olimpiu Blidaru hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, LIVIUS UNITED MLS's Olimpiu Blidaru got a free kick in the 61st minute. LIVIUS UNITED MLS's Daniel Şimandan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Canarinho Atordoado. Yanick Knecht took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Leo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canarinho Atordoado were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after LIVIUS UNITED MLS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Peter Mpenza took the corner. Luiz Leo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Peter Mpenza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 90 played minutes LIVIUS UNITED MLS got a freekick which was hit by George Catry. In the 91st minute, Aristide Păunescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dé Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Blidaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Leo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Canarinho Atordoado's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
