In the 5th minute Tomas Lain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Pérez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes of play, Harsh Gods's Octavio Froylan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdir Pérez was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes into the match, Tomas Lain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdir Pérez. União Verde FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Lain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Lain in the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Harsh Gods's Tomas Lain sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdir Pérez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valdir Pérez came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Harsh Gods's Tomas Lain. But to his dismay, Tomas Lain quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Lain in the 28th minute of the match. Octavio Froylan hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Tomas Lain took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Pérez. Valdir Pérez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Lain in the 37th minute of play forced União Verde FC's goalkeeper Valdir Pérez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Lain took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Pérez. Valdir Pérez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Lain in the 43rd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Tomas Lain sped through União Verde FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valdir Pérez. 47 minutes into the match, Harsh Gods's Tomas Lain sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdir Pérez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laércio Damião to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by União Verde FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roberto Carlos was slow to take the kick. During this time Harsh Gods's players had a chance to rest. Harsh Gods's Octavio Froylan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Valdir Pérez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Lain in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Harsh Gods were awarded a corner. Roberto Carlos went to the cornerflag to take it. Octavio Froylan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Pérez having to interfere. Bebeto de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Valdir Pérez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Lain in the 74th minute of play. With a little luck, União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez got control of the ball when Tomas Lain tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78thth minute of the game Tomas Lain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valdir Pérez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Lain in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Octavio Froylan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Valdir Pérez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomas Lain had several of the União Verde FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-10 score and a disappointed Valdir Pérez as he didn't even see the shot coming. Tomas Lain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Octavio Froylan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harsh Gods's Stanislovas Jacys was substituted for Jogaila Makauskas. The União Verde FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Harsh Gods were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
