El Patriarca ®'s Nicklas Vennerlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benvide Ponte in the 4th minute of play. Benvide Ponte who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Nicklas Vennerlund when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Batista in the 6th minute of play forced Gimnasia LP's goalkeeper Tiran Piedra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiran Piedra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Batista in the 12th minute of the match. Benvide Ponte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Nicklas Vennerlund made a huge save. El Patriarca ®'s Nicklas Vennerlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save El Patriarca ® from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the match, El Patriarca ®'s Luiz Eduardo Batista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiran Piedra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicklas Vennerlund made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Benvide Ponte sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia LP's zone, Aaron Rojelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiran Piedra came out of the goal and Aaron Rojelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiran Piedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Leoiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes Gimnasia LP's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cosme Eron who took care of the corner kick. Aaron Rojelio made a great header on El Patriarca ®'s corner, it was just that Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra managed to reach the ball for a save. When El Patriarca ®'s Aaron Rojelio, in the 29th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for El Patriarca ®. Nicklas Vennerlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Sindo in the 31st minute of play. After 33 minutes El Patriarca ®'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Melquiades Hondo who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Ruperto Gentza heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Nicklas Vennerlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 曾宽云, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Benvide Ponte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicklas Vennerlund was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Benvide Ponte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the game, Aaron Rojelio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Patriarca ®'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gimnasia LP the free kick. After 43 played minutes El Patriarca ® got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Rojelio. When Gimnasia LP's Benvide Ponte in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Patriarca ®'s goalie prevented a goal. Tiran Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Leoiar in the 46th minute of play. A collision led to Gimnasia LP getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Melquiades Hondo hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 80thth minute of the game Amado Sindo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Patriarca ®'s Nicklas Vennerlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, El Patriarca ®'s Luiz Eduardo Batista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiran Piedra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tiran Piedra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Leoiar in the 84th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Amado Sindo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicklas Vennerlund. El Patriarca ®'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amado Sindo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Gimnasia LP's Angelino Urdin was substituted for William Costa. When the referee blew the final whistle, Gimnasia LP could leave the field as winners, despite El Patriarca ® having more of the ball for most of the match.
