Daniël De Goeij made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 17 minutes of play, GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C.'s Alberto Jaen made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniël De Goeij was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute Tonni Bynge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniël De Goeij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniël De Goeij made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gottfrid Kjellbom in the 33rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Limoeiro-PE FC's zone, Tonni Bynge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniël De Goeij came out of the goal and Tonni Bynge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanasis Papadimitriou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Neto in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonni Bynge in the 47th minute of play forced Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Daniël De Goeij to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Gottfrid Kjellbom made the kick off in the second half. Thanasis Papadimitriou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Neto in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C.'s goalkeeper Thanasis Papadimitriou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Limoeiro-PE FC's Raphael Macedo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Limoeiro-PE FC's Daniël De Goeij proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Limoeiro-PE FC from getting a goal against them. Richard Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Thanasis Papadimitriou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gottfrid Kjellbom got free with Daniël De Goeij in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 71 played minutes Limoeiro-PE FC got a freekick which was hit by Richard Neto. In the 74th minute Tonni Bynge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniël De Goeij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Moscoso's late challenge caught a Limoeiro-PE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Moscoso helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 played minutes GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Moscoso. Richard Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanasis Papadimitriou having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Gottfrid Kjellbom cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Daniël De Goeij was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute Alberto Jaen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniël De Goeij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C.'s Sapardi Sopandi fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The Limoeiro-PE FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C..
