Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio-Paul Caniggia in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Crețu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 13 minutes, Claudio-Paul Caniggia made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Firmin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Okan Koc's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Aurel Panait took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Elias Firmin to make any attempt to save it. Galmock FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stiinta-Univ. the free kick. After 46 played minutes Galmock FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo López. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Stiinta-Univ.'s Valeriu Morovan was substituted for Okan Koc.
