When Perivaldo Eger came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the De Pelgrims fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perivaldo Eger couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, Isidro Maidana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fracasados fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Tab in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Eger in the 39th minute of play forced Fracasados's goalkeeper Mai Yao Yao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Fracasados's Mai Yao Yao got control of the ball when Perivaldo Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fracasados's Mai Yao Yao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perivaldo Eger in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute of the match, Isidro Maidana got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mike Zoetmulder was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Beti in the 81st minute of the match. Huub Gerrits scored 2-4 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mai Yao Yao, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute Ciro Tab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mathias de Ruijter fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Pelgrims's protests and gave Mathias de Ruijter a yellow card for diving instead. Mathias de Ruijter hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. De Pelgrims were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Fracasados's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Theo Tuyp took the corner. After taking down the ball on De Pelgrims's corner Theo Tuyp fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mai Yao Yao quite easily take care of the ball. When the match was over Fracasados could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than De Pelgrims throughout the match.
