Charles Booth hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Dávid Tóth took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nilmar Brasil. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. In the 94th minute, Justino Arixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Clapham Rovers lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
