Dušan Ančic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Torres in the 8th minute of the match. Dušan Ančic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Facundo Torres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dušan Ančic was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. KIRICOCHO FC's Jorge Errando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Percival in the 19th minute of play. Jorge Errando made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Cliff Kershaw sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute, Pastor Eufemio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético de Newell fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Jorge Errando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Percival, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Spike Foley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Caner Parshan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dušan Ančic was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, KIRICOCHO FC's Olaf Wos got a free kick in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Facundo Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caner Parshan in the 51st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Facundo Torres put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dušan Ančic. A hard shot 63 in the game by Facundo Torres from a close distance when the talented Dušan Ančic managed to make a qualified save. Club Atlético de Newell's players were relieved. 65 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Dušan Ančic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Facundo Torres. Albert Gamble recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dušan Ančic made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Isaiah Jesus sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic got control of the ball when Facundo Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harry Carson hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Dušan Ančic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Torres in the 91st minute of play. Sebastian Percival received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jorge Errando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
