Halcones Azules's Mustafa Hamit Özercan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Percival in the 7th minute of play. Esteban Vitin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Club Atlético de Newell's Sebastian Percival in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dušan Ančic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sebastian Percival received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Mustafa Hamit Özercan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Hamit Özercan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spike Foley in the 26th minute of the match. When Halcones Azules's 张真军 in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Halcones Azules's Honorato Florinio got a free kick in the 36th minute. Sebastian Percival took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Hamit Özercan. Mustafa Hamit Özercan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 张真军 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spike Foley in the 52nd minute of play forced Halcones Azules's goalkeeper Mustafa Hamit Özercan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteban Vitin took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dušan Ančic. Dušan Ančic dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Esteban Vitin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes Halcones Azules got a freekick which was hit by Severino Benvido. A collision led to Halcones Azules getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Severino Benvido hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Pastor Eufemio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mustafa Hamit Özercan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Percival, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, Halcones Azules was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Franco to maneuver through the defense. Halcones Azules made a substitution. Isaias Etxepare replaced Esteban Vitin. Cesar Franco hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute Albert Gamble shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Hamit Özercan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Percival in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Hamit Özercan saved Halcones Azules from getting behind. Dušan Ančic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 张真军 in the 82nd minute of the match. Fulgencio Donostia kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Albert Gamble recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Percival in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mustafa Hamit Özercan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Percival in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Hamit Özercan saved Halcones Azules from getting behind. The Club Atlético de Newell supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Halcones Azules's performance. The match ended with a win for Halcones Azules.
