The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Figueroa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Claretiano FC booed when TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Figueroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 4 minutes on the clock, Wilber Rivera commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN's goalkeeper Ronald Castaneda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Claretiano FC's Maurinho Mendonça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronald Castaneda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Maurinho Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ronald Castaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Mendonça in the 21st minute of the match. Maurinho Mendonça took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronald Castaneda. Ronald Castaneda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurinho Mendonça in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronald Castaneda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claretiano FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ruben Malta in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Mendonça came free, but Ronald Castaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN's Ronald Castaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Mendonça in the 36th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Maurinho Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Castaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronald Castaneda came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Claretiano FC's Maurinho Mendonça. But to his dismay, Maurinho Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnoldo Toledano was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN's zone, Norino Tostado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald Castaneda came out of the goal and Norino Tostado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Maurinho Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronald Castaneda was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 63rd minute Edgardo Amaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birila Graña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN's zone, Maurinho Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald Castaneda came out of the goal and Maurinho Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurinho Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronald Castaneda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maurinho Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. Ronald Castaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Mendonça in the 75th minute of the match. Birila Graña came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN's Alexander Rojas. But to his dismay, Alexander Rojas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When Maurinho Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Claretiano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Maurinho Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronald Castaneda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Harkaitz Xavalera charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harkaitz Xavalera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Harkaitz Xavalera hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Favila Ribadas might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronald Castaneda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Favila Ribadas ran back to his position shaking his head. Maurinho Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurinho Mendonça got free with Ronald Castaneda in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute, Maurinho Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
