The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Xiao Jing Fan put in a rough tackle. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GoalHunters! In the 17th minute, the referee gave Chelco FC a penalty. Ciro Pellegrini looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Daniel Jienescu. 23 minutes into the game, GoalHunters's Pedro Jerrold nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saverio Fidele made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Saverio Fidele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Stoicescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Godofredo Ugutz took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Daniel Jienescu to make any attempt to save it. Saverio Fidele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Stoicescu in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by León Argento in the 33rd minute of play forced GoalHunters's goalkeeper Daniel Jienescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Chelco FC defense, Pedro Jerrold kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saverio Fidele. The Chelco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saverio Fidele should have stopped the shot. Octav Stoicescu kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Pellegrini got free with Daniel Jienescu in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihăiţă Văduva during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mihăiţă Văduva kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Gaúcho was the one to do the kick off. Mihăiţă Văduva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Saverio Fidele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that João Gaúcho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saverio Fidele was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. 57 minutes into the match, GoalHunters's Pedro Jerrold sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Saverio Fidele narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Jienescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Pellegrini in the 59th minute of play. Chelco FC's Leonardo Aznaro was substituted for Rogelio Fe. Leonardo Aznaro took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Jienescu. Daniel Jienescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Daniel Jienescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Rufio in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the GoalHunters defense, Baldomero Rufio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Jienescu. The GoalHunters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Jienescu should have stopped the shot. Chelco FC's Saverio Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Stoicescu in the 76th minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match GoalHunters got a corner. Chelco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leontin Traianescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led GoalHunters's Leontin Traianescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Saverio Fidele despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mihăiţă Văduva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Fidele having to interfere. After 88 minutes of play, GoalHunters's João Gaúcho made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saverio Fidele was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rd minute Godofredo Ugutz suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 93 minutes, João Gaúcho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GoalHunters and the Chelco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, GoalHunters's João Gaúcho got a free kick in the 94th minute. Daniel Jienescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Rufio in the 95th minute of play.
